Welcome Newcomers
If you have just moved to Olde Towne please call Patricia Ashburner at 383-0632 and let her know you’re here, or stop by at our next association meeting on April 26 in our community park. We’d love to meet you and welcome you to our community.
Park Improvement
Last year we asked for your input on our park. Since then we have improved the drive into the park, added a fireplace for cooking, cleaned up the park, added park tables and benches, and cleared a path from S. Olde Towne Wynd into the park and repaired the security light next to the pavilion.
Before the annual meeting April 26, we will add a children’s play set, move the horseshoe pit, and add several places for doggy poop bags and a trash can.
The park usage has increased significantly. We would like to know what you would like next.
We continue to work on the park, clearing back some of the growth, cutting down dead trees, clearing the walkway between SOTW and the park. A new children’s play set has been approved for purchase and we hope it will be built in time for the BBQ.
Thank you to everyone that has helped us in the park. Please let your OTCA board members know what other improvements you would like to see made.

Robberies
Recently we had a robbery in Olde Towne. In this case, someone removed a window air conditioner from the wall and entered the home. A neighbor observed the thief entering the home but did not recognize that it was a burglary.
We have had a few burglaries in Olde Towne, many could have been prevented. We recommend you consider the following suggestions:
Do not leave valuables such as wallets or firearms in your car. It is easy to break into the car and visible valuables make breaking into the car irresistible to some.
Do not leave any keys in your car. Recently someone in the area left keys in their car and the car was stolen. In another case, they left house keys in the car. The next day the thief used the stolen house keys to enter the house.
Most important is to be observant. If you see something unusual going on, call your neighbor or the police.
We can also start a neighborhood watch. In the past the sheriff’s department has been willing to help. If you are interested, let Stuart (371-9555) know.
