Mall Improvement
On Saturday, July 5th, members of your OTCA association were hard at work cleaning up the mall entrance area. The mall appearance is much improved – weeded and pruned Additional pine straw will be added soon. Additional plants will be added once the rain increases, and a new bulletin board is in the works.

Park Vandalism
Vandals have struck again in our community park. The newly erected play set canvas covering and some of the decking was partially burned and some signs have been defaced. There is an ongoing investigation through the Brunswick Country Sheriff’s Dept. Detective Coring attending our July OTCA meeting to brief us on his progress in the investigation. Once the investigation has been completed, repairs to the play set will be completed and the signs will be replaced. Detective Coring advised us that we should consider forming a Community Watch. There is an increase in gang activity in the county. If you are interested in participating in a community watch program, please contact any board member. A crime prevention officer is available to tell us how to set up the watch and what is involved.

Belville Happenings
The Town of Belville budget has been approved and is available for your review at the town’s website – www.townofbelville.com.
Take and look and see where your tax dollars are being spent.

Crier Delivery
We need a volunteer to take over delivery of the Crier on NOTW. Due to ill health Dorothy Osborne is unable to do this for us. If you enjoy walking in the neighborhood and would be willing to do this, please contact Stuart Smith 371-9555. Delivery would be to about 60 residences.

Fill out the enclosed membership information and leave it with your check in the OTCA mailbox or give it to any committee member. Welcome Newcomers

Yard Sale
We are still looking for a committee chairman to run the yard sale this year. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Denny at 383-0559. Duties would involve advertising the sale in the local paper, Craig’s list etc., putting up signs in the neighborhood, and collecting funds from the participants.

Debris Clean Up
Yard debris may be dropped off on Wednesdays in Leland, behind the police station on Town Hall Drive. If you have tree limbs that are too big to be taken there, you may for a short time add them to our burn pile at our community park. The park is kept locked, so you will need to contact either Denny or Stuart for the key.
