Olde Towne Community Park Cleanup and Volley Ball Court

Today was the Olde Towne community park cleanup and starting clearing the debris from the park property behind the shelter. The sun will be shining in there starting to dry the area and letting some dogwood trees breath and show their beauty. Walking trails are being cleared as well. The team work between the volunteers of all ages from the community was amazing to watch. The results are truly wonderful to see. The volunteers were a variety of ages from children to adult working in a team effort. The list of names I hope will be complete...if any one is missing please let me know so I can add your name. When I was able to go and start taking photos a few of the volunteers had already left. The cleanup started at 9 am and some were still there about 2:30 pm getting ready to leave. They were very tired and hungry!

Ground breaking for the volley ball court was begun and good progress made. A big thank you to Jeff Gaskill for loaning his heavy equipment for the huge project. Thank you, CT Shaw for having the experience and knowledge for running the equipment and making it look like you were a little boy having fun with his play toys. He navigated through little trees to pull the old volley ball poles out without hitting these tiny trees in a minuscule spot.

Volunteers: Thank you!!!!
