Mall Improvements
Roger Lee has been working very hard on the mall improvements. Many loads of pine straw have been spread, the whole area has been weeded and edged, and in general it looks a lot tidier and much more appealing. Roger will be adding plants in the next few months. Please pay your dues to support this endeavor.



Drainage Problem
The Town of Belville cancelled their August meeting. Hopefully we will see some action on the drainage issue in September. Please be sure that any drainage ditches on your property are cleared of any debris so that water can drain quickly.

Welcoming Tea

Pat Ashburner, chair of our Adult Social committee will be hosting a welcoming tea at her home on September 19th. If you have moved to Olde Towne recently you should have received an invitation. We hope you will attend and make this event a success. Members of the OTCA will be serving home made goodies to welcome you to our neighborhood.

Membership Dues

Dues are nominal, only $24 per year. Please support your association and pay your dues. Additional donations are also welcome! Dues should be put in the OTCA mailbox at the entrance mall or given to any committee member. Please fill out the enclosed information sheet. If you have young children, please list their names and ages so we can contact you regarding children’s parties. If you include your email address we can email the Crier to you in the future – this saves us money and time!



Children’s Parties
Halloween is fast approaching and we are still in need of a person to organize and plan the children’s parties for the neighborhood. If you are a parent or grandparent and are interested in planning the parties (Easter, Halloween and Christmas), please let Stuart know at 371-9555. Don’t be shy …


Recommendations?
We have received a suggestion that we publish the names of contractors that have done work in Olde Towne and that you would like to recommend to your neighbors. If you have someone that you feel has done an excellent job for you and you would like to recommend, please email me at Clare@aspecialgift.com. Please include company name, contact person, phone number, type of work that they did for you and any comments. If you don’t have email, please call Clare at 371-2125.
