Halloween Party Success
The kids of Olde Towne had a Spooktacular time at the Annual Halloween Party. There were 14 kids in attendance ranging from age 10 months to 14 years old(??Javit's age??). They enjoyed scary snacks provided by the helpful moms and dads. The children had a frightningly good time playing Boo Bingo, Musical Tombstones, Pin the Nose on the Witch and wrapping each other up as Toilet Paper Mummies! If you weren't able to make it this year, we hope you can join the fun in 2008!

Park Clean Up
December’s park clean up is scheduled for December 8th at 9.am. The park looks marvelous!

Olde Towne Web Site
Beverly Farrington is working on developing a web page for Olde Towne. The web site is starting out as a blog until we have more information. The link to our Blog is http://oldetownenc28451.blogspot.com/

Please send Bev an email at oldetowne28451@gmail.com with a write up of what your experience has been since moving to Olde Towne(with the time critera please). The older the experience the better, but new will give a good impression as well. Information on when the Olde Towne Association came into existence would be helpful. Anything else that you think would be interesting to the residents of Olde Towne would be appreciated.

Juliene Padgett Note
As Christmas approaches, I think of the people of our community group who, like me, have seen our adult children leave home and begin their own family lives in other places. Since they are establishing their own holiday traditions with their families, we do not wish to intrude into their private times; but find ourselves alone at a time which was previously filled with children and holiday togetherness.
I invite you to my home for a Christmas tea, which will be a time for us to socialize, have a cup of tea or coffee and a sandwich or cookie and enjoy the company of neighbors, rather than the arraage of football or basketball games or automobile and motorcycle races:
Please join me Christmas Day, at your leisure, from 4:00 p.m. til 7:00 p.m. There will be no news, ball games or races playing for your viewing or listening. Quiet visiting, conversation and refreshments with other Olde Towne Community Association members on a special holiday. Join me in observation of Christmas 2007.

Clean up trash
Olde Towne is our home and we all contribute to the environment we live in. It can be pleasant and enjoyable to arrive home to a neat clean community or we can arrive home and see trash all over the place.
Some of the trash is the result of visitors tossing things out of their cars. Some comes from garbage cans, and some from other sources. Please do what you can to help make Olde Towne an inviting, pleasant place to live.
