Belville Budget

The Belville draft budget will be approved on June 30, 2008 at a special meeting, time to be announced.

Let’s Play

As many of you may have read in the local newspapers, the playset has now been built in our community park. Many residents contributed to the planning, funding and construction of the playset. We even had the local boy scouts help in the construction! Thank you for everyone involved for your contribution to this much needed addition to our park. We hope those of you with children will use and enjoy our park more. There is more for the children to play on, and plenty of seating for parents. Pictures of the construction can be seen on Bev’s blogspot at:

http://oldetownenc28451.blogspot.com. Please take a minute to check out the construction photographs, and stop by the park and see the finished product. Bev also has some great pictures of flowers that she took while walking around the neighborhood streets, so check out the blog and see what is happening in Olde Towne.

Subject: June 23, 2008 Board of Commissioners Meeting

Commissioners,

Due to an unforeseen emergency, Mayor Thurlow will not be able to attend the June 23, 2008 Board of Commissioners Meeting. Since there are several guests scheduled to appear that night, as well as a public hearing on a voluntary annexation request, the Mayor would like to proceed with the meeting as scheduled and postpone only the portion concerning the public hearing on the 2008/2009 Fiscal Year Draft Budget. The public hearing on the draft budget will be continued and re-opened at Special Meeting on Monday, June 30, 2008 and proper notice will be provided. If you have a conflict with this date, please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your careful consideration of this matter.
