Speed Enforcement


Mike Allen from the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department told us at the OTCA meeting that they have stopped a number of people speeding on Rte. 133. The Sheriff’s department will continue to monitor and enforce speed limits on Rte. 133 and within the neighborhood streets. Please slow down for everyone’s safety (and to avoid getting a ticket).


Low Income Housing


A low-income housing development is proposed for Chappell Loop Road. We expect some time will pass before any action will occur. The proposed location will require rezoning and this will require a public hearing before the Planning Board, which will make a recommendation to the Belville Board of Commissioners. The Belville Board of Commissioners will then have a public hearing to decide to accept or reject the Planning Board recommendation. The best opportunity to influence the decision is to attend the public hearings. Facts and a large group of people are effective ways to influence the decision.


Annual BBQ


Patricia Ashburner has talked to Bob Uzzell and Bob and his father will do the barbeque again on April 24th in the OT park. We will have a 50/50 raffle.
