Annual Meeting & BBQ

The annual meeting of the OTCA will be held on April 30th in our Olde Towne Park. We will be electing a new slate of officers. If you are in-terested in serving on the Olde Towne Community Association executive committee, please contact Stuart Smith by April 1, 2011 so that your name may be put on the ballot. If you would like a description of the officer duties, please email, or call Stuart. We will be electing a new President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The meeting will start at 4 p.m. with the pick pickin’ to follow. We hope to see you all there! If you are a newcomer to the neighborhood, we hope you will take this opportunity to come and meet your neighbors, learn about the OTCA, and make some friends.

Spring Yard Sale

The OTCA Yard Sale has been scheduled for May 7. Carolyn Ferguson will be or-ganizing this event. If you would like to help her, would like more information, or would like to participate, con-tact Carolyn at 371-6648. More information will be in next month’s Crier.

Park Clean up

A park clean up has been scheduled for Saturday March 19th from 10 a.m. till noon. We will be serving hotdogs afterwards. Please come out and help!

Park Transfer

At our last OTCA meeting, we discussed transferring ownership and control of the Olde Towne park to the Town of Belville. Stuart read emails and summarized conversations that he had with people that were not able to attend the meeting. Many of these in attendance at the meeting expressed their opinions for and against transferring ownership of the park to Belville.

We will continue to gather information from residents and the Town of Belville and continue the discussion at the annual meeting.

Olde Towne Pig Pickin
Saturday – April 30 4:00 p.m.

The Olde Towne Community Association is hosting its Annual Pig Pickin social and meeting on April 30 at 4 p.m. in our beautiful community park. This is a family event for OTCA members. We are inviting non-members to join us to find out what our association is all about.
Bob Uzzel’s father will be cooking the pig. This will be an old fash-ioned pig pickin the way we did it many years ago. We will have delicious barbequed pork, and hush puppies. Soft drinks, cups, plates and utensils will be provided. We ask attendees to bring one of their specialties: a hors d'oeuvre, a side dish or a dessert. BYOB. You may bring some folding chairs. Children may wish to bring a lawn game or toy to play with in the park.
Our annual meeting will be held first and we will elect our new OTCA officers. We are excited about this event and are looking forward to seeing you. Come on out, reunite with old friends and meet some new ones. We hope to see you there.
Please contact us if you need any further information or have ques-tions.
